I have had several problems running Synnergy. It stopped working when I upgraded to Windows 8.1, and I assumed that was the problem until I tried to install it on a new computer and that computer (an old XP laptop) gave the same error. Now I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong...
I get the following logs:
INFO: backing off, wait=10s, failures=7323 INFO: starting new process INFO: Synergy 1.4.17 Server on Microsoft Windows 6.2 x64 synergys.exe: no configuration available NOTE: starting server NOTE: config file: C:/Users/BRENDA~1.MCC/AppData/Local/Temp/qt_temp.a94396 NOTE: log level: INFO INFO: service command updated ERROR: failed to launch, error: process immediately stopped INFO: backing off, wait=2s, failures=1 INFO: starting new process INFO: Synergy 1.4.17 Server on Microsoft Windows 6.2 x64 ERROR: cannot read configuration "C:/Users/BRENDA~1.MCC/AppData/Local/Temp/qt_temp.394396": @?y synergys.exe: no configuration available ERROR: failed to launch, error: process immediately stopped INFO: backing off, wait=4s, failures=2 INFO: service command updated
That config file, and even the directory it is in, doesn't exist... Further, it isn't the one I specified. I removed Synergy, deleted all traces of it from the registry and the hard disk, rebooted, and reinstalled; but the same thing happened! Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?
