Trying to start Synergy on boot

Hello! I'm trying to start Synergy on boot. I have 3 computers set up, Fedora 18, Win8x64, and OS X 10.8.3, with Windows 8 as the server. All 3 computers are running Synergy version 1.4.12.

The idea was to follow the directions located here to create a system level startup item so that I can get through the login screen and then write a script to kill the synergy process and automatically relaunch it at login for my user using the methods found here. However, in the first link, I get the error message in terminal during testing that states it cant find /usr/local/bin/synergyc because there is no local folder in /user. In the second link, I get the same error, except it's looking for synergyc in /usr/bin. It's nowhere to be found. Both links (both of which Synergy links, just one in the Sourceforge site) appear to be outdated.

So I ask, where is synergyc located??? How can I accomplish this?
