I have a single monitor Win 7 machine (Windows) running Synergy server. (On left side - aligned with lower)
I have a dual monitor (upper/lower) Ubuntu 10.04.3 machine (Ubuntu) running Synergy client. (On right side)
When I move the mouse from left thru the right edge on Windows, the mouse jumps to the top monitor on Ubuntu. I would like the mouse to transition to the lower monitor.
When I am on the right (Ubuntu) machine, I cannot move the mouse controlled by Synergy to the lower monitor. However, if I plug in a mouse on the Ubuntu machine, I can move the mouse anywhere on the two monitors. Also, if I have focus on a window (browser, terminal, etc.) on either of the two Ubuntu monitors, the server keyboard works. So this is affecting only the mouse when I am on the Ubuntu machine.
My current config on the server is:
section: screens Windows: Ubuntu: end
section: aliases end
section: links Windows: # right = Ubuntu(51,100) right = Ubuntu Ubuntu: # left(51,100) = Windows left = Windows end
section: options end
I originally tried the server config with the commented-out statements, but the mouse was still only working with the top monitor, not both, on the Ubuntu machine. I've burned a weekend trying to figure this out! Any help will be appreciated.
