Whenever the client system opens certain system windows like the device manager, the mouse and keyboard stop controlling the client system. I then have to switch back to the client's original keyboard and mouse in order to use that system.

I've installed the Synergy 1.4.10 as server mode on my Macbook Pro with OSX 10.8.1.
When I've started the service, It kept failing with the message as below.
Please help me if anyone knows the solution about this issue.

It seems that OSX Mavericks now handles the accessibility api differently than before. Looks like it can be enabled per-app, and although I see an entry for synergy, enabling it still produces the following in my log:

Hi all,
does anybody else have problems with today's version and XP? The server and a client are running fine in Win7, but XP keeps giving me the same error over and over (I reinstalled 3 times now and restarted even more). The error I am getting is:

ERROR: failed to load shell library, synwinxt.dll is missing or invalid
FATAL: failed to start client: unable to open screen
ERROR: failed to launch, error: process immediately stopped

I turned encryption on / off didn't help.
Any suggestions are welcome!

I'm using Synergy as a client on my OS X (which is connecting to a Windows 7 server).
I'm trying to start synergy BEFORE the login menu, so I could enter the username and password in the login screen using the windows keyboard, thus eliminating the need to connect a keyboard/mouse to the mac itself.
However, I could not find such a solution.
I tried the StartupItems method described in the wiki - it works, but only starts Synergy after the login.
I tried using LaunchAgents, but then again, it starts before login.
I tried doing my own thing and starting it as a globalDaemon, but got a SIGTRAP signal (I'm not so farmiliar with launchctrl or the mac startup so I guess its the wrong way anyways).
Does anyone have any idea how I can do this properly? Also, if Copy&Paste and encryption could be enabled this way, that would be awesome.

I am trying to run the set up for synergy-1.4.15-Windows-x86.exe but when I select the "Yes, I am a Synergy Premium user, and proud of it!" radio button and click next I get the error: Login failed, an error occurred. Error: Error downloading http://synergy-foss.org/premium/json/auth/ - server replied: Service Unavailable.
Is this because of corporate firewalls? Is there another way to activate the premium features without asking my corporate security team to allow an exception (which aint gonna happen)?
Server: Mac 10.7
Client: Mac 10.6
That's as far as it goes...

I am a new mac user who also has to use windows for work. So I have installed Vmware Fusion 6 and really like how it works. I used DisplayFusion on my old win laptop, basically for the feature that allowed me to click a box at the top of a window which made that window move to the other screen. No more clicking and dragging. Does Synergy have a similar feature and would it work on the VM windows as well as the mac ones?

I have a CentOS 6.4 machine running as a server plugged directly into the cable router. It has an address of 192.168.0.4. All the rest of my machines are running on a router plugged into the cable router and have an address range of 10.0.0.XXX. The Synergy server is specifically 10.0.0.21 (Windows 8). Another machine now running Synergy as a client is 10.0.0.22 (Mac OS X 10.9) and the two of them work very well.
I am having trouble getting the CentOS machine to work as a client because of access problems. I don't know if I am to do port forwarding, set a route in the CentOS machine or some other means of getting a pathway between the CentOS and Windows 8 machine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Is it possible to put two or more servers IP. If I'm using my laptop at work I have one server IP address, if I'm using laptop at home I have different server IP address.
If it's not possible now, maybe can be good upgrade. Right now, every time I need to check which IP address I'm using at work because it is dynamic not static.

Right now I'm using Hungarian layout and it's impossible to enter several important characters, like ";", "{", "}", "[", "]", "@" etc. because for OS X the Alt Gr is the same as Alt. (I'm using a PC keyboard on a Mac mini.)

I just updated my fedora machine to 19, and the server no longer passes control to the clients. If I turn on DEBUG2, I see that the server is only detecting movement (onMouseMovePrimary) when the cursor goes over the terminal window where I launched synergys from. The rest of the time, the server sees CALV/CNOP messages form the client. Any ideas where I should look?
I use the client version 1.4.15 on Maverics. On the server side works an Fedora Linux. It works fine. But how can the client automatically start the connection to the server? I found no autostart button. Synergy starts after login, but is still unconnect to the server. Only with "Start" starts the connect.
I just updated my version of Synergy to 1.4.14, and I'm testing out the new drag and drop functionality. I am unable to find any documentation regarding what it's capabilities and limitations are, so I'm just poking at it trying to make it do stuff.
I'm trying to drag a file from Windows and drop it onto my Mac, but the Mac shows no indication that a drag and drop operation is pending, and when I let go of the right mouse button I get the following in the synergy log:
ERROR: drop file failed: drop target is empty
Am I supposed to be doing anything special to make this work?
I have installed on a mac as master and a pc as slave - the slave PC seems to be searching for the IP OK, but I can't seem to start the mater Mac (message below). I have tried going into settings and allowing Synergy to control my mac in System Prefs > Security & Privacy > Privacy and ticking synergy - this doesn't seem to have helped.

I've re-installed, I've tried to find this log file and config file and they just do not exist on the computer. I used this program last summer and it worked fine, but now it just won't work and I have yet to find an appropriate solution in the forums. I admit i am probably missing something and just not finding the answer, and beg for help. I will continue to search for this log file that is erroring out.
