I have two computers I'm trying to use with Synergy. One is a Win7 laptop and the other is a MacbookPro running 10.8.4. It seems that the Synergy program doesn't like computer names (hostnames) that start with a number. When I type my hostname (such as 123Mac) the keyboard won't even respond until I hit the M. I changed the hostname on my Mac thinking that was the problem and Synergy is still seeing the old hostname even though I changed it and restarted the computer. I also deleted both config files but it still won't recognize the new name. I'm getting this message: NOTE: starting server NOTE: config file: /var/folders/kq/b7mfv1gd3pggwvhbqm1l50qh0000gn/T/qt_temp.DYC336 NOTE: log level: NOTE FATAL: unknown screen name `123Mac.local' NOTE: stopping synergy desktop process
I'm going to keep researching but thought I would post this and hope for a response while I'm looking for answers via the web. Thank you, TC
