Keyboard on Mac Server to Windows Win7 Client not functioning

$

Server: Mac 10.8 Assistive Devices Turned on in Preferences Synergy 1.4.9 Server

Windows 7 Home Client 1.4.9

Everything was working fine under 1.4.8 until today when the mouse would work from server to client but not keyboard. I searched this site and someone mentioned the same issue. I updated both the server and client to 1.4.9 nightly. Mouse works fine, keyboard strikes are only captured on the server.

Any troubleshooting would be appreciated. Server.log shows only mouse being captured but not the keyboard.

Windows CTRL mapping to OSX Cmd

I'm running v1.4.15 with Windows 7 as the server and OSX 10.8 as the client. I would like to be able to map the CTRL key on the keyboard to perform the duties of the Cmd key in OSX.

I have tried setting the hotkeys in the server configuration and can insert a keystroke (like CTRL-C) into the left hand side, however when I come to configure the action, I try and press the Windows-C shortcut (after I click on keystroke()) and Windows just opens the start menu, I can't seem to map it. Is there any way around this?

I've experienced a number of problems in Outlook 2013 but the one common issue that continues to impact me is I cannot highlight text in an email. I have also experienced issues with tabbing through fields. As soon as I shutdown synergy the problems disappear. Anyone have a suggestion or recommendation?

./hm.sh build

I went to ./build/release to do

make

I've the following error :

I use synergy 1.4.15 32 bits on a windows7 32 synergy server and synergy 1.4.15 32 bits on a windows 7 64 client. performed the local policy change on the client and now, after boot, CTRL+ALT+(FN/pgdn)BREAK gives me the login prompt. However, once logged in, the CTRL+ALT+BREAK doesn't work anymore (see XHO0407 conversation). The only case I need to use CTRL+ALT+BREAK is when I want to lock the pc when I leave it unattended for a while. You can easily use the arrow functions near the start/Shutdown button to chose one of the wanted functions... Switch user - logoff - lock - etc ... This is a nice work-around :o)

using Ctrl+alt+delete on client machines

Hi Guys

I have come across a little problem? I love using synergy, It's great, however ... I was wondering how to "unlock" windows on client machines. Our machines require "CTRL+ALT+DEL" to access the client login screen. if I hit "Ctrl+ALT+DEL" it is my server machine that pops up the security screen. is there any way around this? I don't really want to plug-in a keyboard to the client just to do that!

Multi-monitor Single X-Screen Not working

I have a linux client with two monitors configured as a SINGLE X-Screen. The synergy server is a Win7 machine, with the same two monitors. I can switch to the linux client, but cannot cross to the second monitor.

xdpyinfo on the linux machine reports 1 x-screen, as expected, with dimensions 3200x1200. The server log reports the linux client as 1600x1200 (one screen).

So it looks like synergyc running on the linux client is reporting the x-screen as 1600x1200 How do I get it to report the full dimensions of the screen ?

Only change screen when I hold a key down

How do I configure 1.4.15 to only change screens if I hold Left Shift down? I think this was easily done in 1.3.8 which is the previous versions I used, but I cant seem to find it in the new one.

Is it even possible to do this in 1.4.15?

It seems that OSX Mavericks now handles the accessibility api differently than before. Looks like it can be enabled per-app, and although I see an entry for synergy, enabling it still produces the following in my log:

FATAL: Init failed: system setting not enabled: "Enable access for assistive devices"

Corporate network. Cannot connect

I am unable to locate any information about troubleshooting 2 pcs on a corporate network. I can ping both of them and they only seem to be running windows firewall on windows 7 enterprise. The only information I get is:

WARNING: failed to connect to server: Timed out

NOTE: connecting to '10.3.23.152': 10.3.23.152:24800

I've tried a few different port numbers, rebooted, and tried connecting in either direction by switching which is server and client. Is there any way to put the connection into a debug mode and maybe see where its stopping? Thanks.

Unable to get Synergy 1.4.15 to start on @ windows7 PC's, previously used 1.3.1 on XP/7

Hi

I'm unable to get Synergy 1.4.15 to work between two Windows 7 machines. I previously used 1.3.1 to link these same computers when one was still Windows XP. I've upgraded to Windows7 and found that 1.3.1 doesnt work too well. I upgraded both PC's to version 1.4.15 but cannot configure them to work. I am unable to use numerals to specify the IP address as an alias also.

I get the following log:

Error: ipc connection error, code=7

Please assist.

Hi all,

does anybody else have problems with today's version and XP? The server and a client are running fine in Win7, but XP keeps giving me the same error over and over (I reinstalled 3 times now and restarted even more). The error I am getting is:

NOTE: connecting to service... NOTE: connection established
ERROR: failed to load shell library, synwinxt.dll is missing or invalid
FATAL: failed to start client: unable to open screen
ERROR: failed to launch, error: process immediately stopped
ERROR: failed to load shell library, synwinxt.dll is missing or invalid

I turned encryption on / off didn't help.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Can't move mouse to client

$

I have been running Synergy for ~6 months, and within the past two weeks, I've run across a painful bug twice that I haven't seen until now... I can't move my mouse from the server machine (Win7 64-bit) to the client machine (Win XP). I've tried restarting the appropriate Synergy service on each machine to remedy the problem, but the only thing that seems to fix it is rebooting the server machine. I can get to the client machine by using the Hot Keys I've set up, and the log output on both machines shows the client connecting just fine to the server. Does anybody know of a solution that doesn't require me to reboot the server machine?
